Let's Talk Womxn-Cincinnati
Let's Talk Womxn is a voluntary, collaborative initiative that aims to support and empower women entrepreneurs in the food and drink industry. It started in Chicago in 2020 for women restaurateurs but has since grown to include all women entrepreneurs and makers of food and drink in 13 cities across the US. The initiative holds monthly sessions for deep dives into business issues and cross-pollinates learnings and successes across cities. LTW also collaborates on initiatives that amplify visibility, cross-promote each other, and boost revenue. The X factor in Womxn is an algebraic expression of explicit openness to women owners of all sizes, stripes, colors, creeds, formats, scales, races, orientations, identities, startups, or celebrities. The initiative deliberately has no mission statement, no statement of values, and no five-year plan. It is founded and led by Rohini Dey, Ph.D., a Vermilion restaurateur in Chicago, and former McKinsey & Co., former World Bank, and former trustee/founder/chair of the James Beard Foundation Women's Leadership Program from 2011-2021.
